Limited resources increase my thankfulness
“But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.” - Daniel 6:10 (GW)

I have learned that limited resources can actually be a blessing in disguise. It is during times of scarcity that I learn to truly appreciate the abundant provision of my God. My Heavenly Father promises to supply all my needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. His assurance fills my heart with gratitude and peace.
The Lord is my shepherd, and I lack nothing. My perspective shifts. Instead of dwelling on what I don’t have, I choose to focus on the blessings that surround me. I give thanks in all circumstances, for it is God’s will for me in Christ Jesus. Gratitude becomes a way of life, regardless of my circumstances. When I store up treasures in heaven—where they will never be destroyed or stolen—I am not in an anxious pursuit of material possessions. I appreciate the true riches found in a relationship with God.
Contentment becomes my companion as I embrace godliness and trust in the Lord with all my heart. I understand that a little with the fear of the Lord is far greater than abundance, accompanied by trouble. My focus shifts from accumulating worldly wealth to seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness first.
In moments of trials and challenges, I find solace in knowing that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. He is for me and not against me and since He is for me, who can be against me? The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, and His mercies are new every morning. I count it all joy when facing various trials, for they produce endurance and greater faith.
Today, I am reminded of the faithfulness of my Heavenly Father. He knows my needs and provides for me abundantly. My limited resources become an opportunity for thankfulness, as they draw me closer to God and deepen my dependence on Him. I am grateful for His provision, His guidance, and His unwavering love. God is so good!
